Optimizing Compressed Air Production

Using the power-to-airflow profile measured during the System Profile, we can adjust the maximum target airflow downward to reflect the demand reduction resulting from the previous step. If there is only one compressor, then we can estimate the efficiency of that compressor under the newly modified demand profile. We can compare it with other compressors, using the compressor control type comparison data from Compressed Air Challenge ® and published CAGI data from major air compressor manufacturers.
